Message: I have only voted in one Presidential election before (sad to say). I have learned so much this and last year about our political process. I think the hugest (!) surprise and outrage to me is how "fixed" our voting system is. To "super delegates" on the democratic side, to the manipulation of the mass media, to voter fraud (ie NH and other places where votes aren't secured), to Diebold machines, to "looking the other way" if a desired candidate breaks the campaign financing laws (ie McCain + how many others). And I always thought the voters determined who our President and Congressional leaders are. It's just a giant lie. I guess the worst kind of slavery is where the slaves don't know they're slaves. And we haven't even talked about the electoral college. And the other huge cog in our lack of freedom is the financial system. It just makes me sick. I'm afraid our country is gone. Unless more and more people can wake up. I feel privileged to have known a time of SOME freedoms, but not as many as my grandparents. But a whole lot more than my grandkids. ...........
