I agree. While I still support Ron in his effort to reform the GOP, and although Barr was not my first choice for an LP candidate, it's very important for him to make a strong showing.
I've already noticed that the media seems to be treating him with greater respect than they've shown to Ron. Perhaps that's just because they think he will steal votes from McCain and ensure a Democratic victory. But so far even Fox seems to be covering him at a reasonable level. A strong moneybomb showing is bound to improve that as well.
And the LP really needs the money. Remember that one reason Ron has stated for not wanting to run third party is that in 1988 he spent half of the money he raised just getting on the ballot. While the LP is already on 28 ballots this year, and 48 is very very likely, the lsit two, especially Oklahoma will require getting a lot of petitioners out on the street NOW.
So can anyone get up a Trevor type website and get the word out about it?
