Thank you for the kind words to be called an inspiration is a great compliment. Please let me fill in some of the story for you so you have a better understanding and if you want to chat some time that would be cool. This message is going to blow you away you never new how close you were to the November 5th idea. You guys did a great service and I hold you both in the highest regard. You were the first to make a money bomb happen plain and simple. If it was not for you guys I think the word Money Bomb would of never existed and you truly helped contribute to the success of November 5th. I can't say what came first the chicken or the egg. If your saying I inspired Jesse that's news to me our ideas originated so close at the same time I never new that question. My idea was more focused on media publicity and exposure and yours was a steady stream of income that hit hard to show support, one idea evolved to the next.
That was the unfortunate thing about this a lot of Paul supporters did not get the notoriety they deserved. I remember Jesse and I were both posting comments on You Tube like crazy. I finally got in touch with him and asked him if he was interested in working on the November 5th idea. He said he was down and would schedule a donation on that day and that was the last I heard from him.

Trevor Lyman contacted me a couple days later and made www.ThisNovember5th.com website. I really don't know where Trevor Lyman got his inspiration but you guys already had a secured working idea so I wouldn't doubt he got some inspiration from you guys. It was compilation of a lot of people working together and I know you guys were a very big part of that. I thought you guys were pretty focused on the Money Bomb idea so it was hard to take the focus away from your idea to work on another. I would of done the same thing to be honest.
As for me I can never really take credit for all this. "Yes" I had an idea but every person involved was just as important in spreading this message. As you mentioned you had a friend who put in his full support group for the idea. It was remarkable the moment the video hit I was flooded with support and people saying count me in. I never saw anything like it I was completly overwhelmed. I remember People from my Meet up group donated their maximum donation it floored me. My video was on CNN, CBS and many major publications it even showed up in the Rolling Stone website. I remember talking to John Bydlak shortly after Nov 5th that guy is arrogant as hell but a good guy. He asked me what inspired me to think of this idea. I said to him "I just got lucky" we as Ron Paul supporters were all trying to think of ideas it could of been anyone.
Here is a little background on the idea...
I remember the day the concept began it was on Oct 11th I just got home from work someone mentioned on My Space we need to do a mass donation. November 5th automatically popped in my head. I searched the web for an hour I was in disbelief no one thought of the idea. I started looking at all the key spots My Space, You Tube, Event full, Face book. I thought 100,000 people donating 100 bucks was a reasonable number. At the time I don't think anyone knew really how much support we had. This was around the time people were joking saying we just had a few supporters spamming the Internet haha. A lot of people bashed me saying I was going to destroy Ron Paul with the donation day of Guy Fawkes day and my donation amounts were to high. These were chances I took because I knew if we didn't make the full amount the media coverage could reach the 10 million dollar goal. I also knew Ron Paul was tough as hell and would make the most of it.
During the conversation I had with Bydlak I found out they new of the November 5th idea from the conception of it. They did not become involved because the controversy behind it, but were well aware it existed from day one.
There was a lot of meanings behind the day but there is something that not a lot of people know. I was informed one week until November 5th by my mother November 5th was my fathers birthday. I turned pale as a ghost to think that some how I thought of this idea on his birthday. The interesting thing about this is my father passed away 9 years ago when I was 18 years old. To this day I feel he empowered me to think of the idea. I guess his final lesson to me was to believe in myself. Before I released the video I was turned down by quite a few of the popular Ron Paul supporters. I could bury a few people if I wanted to haha.
The reason I never came forward was in honor of the 37,000 patriots who donated it was out of principle. This day was never about me it was about proving a point to the media, ending the war in Iraq and showing our support for a genuine person. I would be bias if I used that very same outlet to promote myself it would go against the message. I did get some notoriety from the events that occurred like a mention in the New York Times my local paper the OC Register and a few other mentions.
As far as Trevor Lyman is concerned this is what I know. I have spoken to him a few times and leading up to November 5th we emailed a bit. He was a good guy to me, he was the person who released my name to the NYT. I said to him there are not many moments in a persons life where you can be known for something great. If you ever speak to Ron Paul or talk to a major publication let them know who I am. The main thing was I wanted to hang that news paper article on my wall as a memory for the achievement. I think he made the most of the idea with the blimp and tea party. He talked to me about the tea party idea around November 10th, I am not sure if that answers any questions for you. It's interesting you had the same concept that's a pretty crazy conicidence. If your saying he plagerized your idea man I am sorry to hear it no one deserves that.
I ended up meeting RP on January 30th I drove up to the Simi Valley Debate after work. There were at least 500 people around Ron Paul he was just shaking peoples hands not giving any autographs. I managed to make my way up there and I was holding a copy of my New York Times article. I mentioned my name and a staffer pulled me to the side to meet Ron. He was very gracious and signed the NYT article. Later I bumped into Carol and I told her who I was. Her security guard over head the conversation and took off his VIP pass from the Regan library debate and handed it to her she autographed and gave to me.
What Ron Paul said to me was this; It's people like you with these ideas that make this all worth while. He also said there were to many people to thank (thats you). It's the damn truth and I couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for your military service Eric much respect to you and what you do for your country. Good luck with TaxDay08 make it happen!! I hope this sheds some light on some questions you may have had. This is the story behind November 5th the only way I know how to tell it.
